You made the decision that was best for your family, stability for your kids, consistency in school, a life that didn’t have to keep starting over. But that decision came with a cost you couldn’t fully understand until you were living it. Now you’re managing the day-to-day alone, carrying the weight of a family that’s meant to function as one from two different places.

Some days you handle it all. Other days, it feels like too much, and there’s no one in the room to share it with. The hardest part isn’t just the distance. It’s feeling like no one really sees what this life is asking of you.
Family in Flight was built by a military family who knows exactly what it means to live apart from an active-duty spouse. The missed moments, the solo parenting, the quiet at the end of the day when everything finally slows down. It’s not theoretical, it’s personal.
We understand that geo-baching isn’t just a logistical decision. It’s an emotional one that affects every part of your life. That’s why everything we do is rooted in real experience, real empathy, and a deep understanding of what military families like yours are navigating every single day.

What Families Are Saying

Mark
"Thanks to Family In Flight, my children were able to spend time with their dad while he was away."
Jessica
We turn distance into connection.
Family in Flight exists to support military families who are living apart from their active-duty spouse by creating community, providing resources, and helping families stay connected through it all. We bring people together who understand this life without needing explanation, creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

At the same time, we work to bridge the physical distance by helping families reconnect in person. Through travel support powered by donated miles, points, and financial resources, we create opportunities for families to be together again when it matters most.

You don’t have to keep doing this alone.
If you’re navigating life while your spouse is stationed somewhere else, there is a place for you here. Through our support groups, you’ll connect with other military spouses who understand your day-to-day reality, creating space for real conversation, encouragement, and community.

If distance has made it difficult to see your spouse, you can also apply for travel support through Family in Flight. Whether it’s through donated airline miles, points, or financial assistance, our goal is to help you create those moments of reconnection that keep your family strong.

There are military families right now trying to figure out when they’ll be able to see each other again. For many, it’s not about willingness. It’s about resources. Travel costs, time, and logistics often stand in the way of moments that matter most.
You can change that. By donating airline miles, credit card points, financial support, or even resources and partnerships, you become part of the solution. What may seem small to you can create a moment a family will never forget.
Because no military family should feel alone in this.
